Federal skilled worker program (FSWP) welcomes you to immigrate to Canada
Canada’s FSWP (Federal Skilled Worker Program) is its flagship worker immigration program, allowing it to accept thousands of foreign nationals annually based on their potential to succeed in the Canadian labor market. The federal skilled worker program has been administered through the EE selection system.

As part of the EE act, the IRCC can contact qualified individuals and invite them to apply for PR status. The pool includes applicants who qualify for the FSWP program and CEC and FSTC. The FSWP allows professionals and semi-skilled individuals to move to Canada permanently. In the majority of cases, applications that are complete are handled in less than six months.

Here are the benefits of FSWP

There is no requirement for Canadian ties for FSWP applicants. Those who aren’t already in Canada but still want to participate in the program can fulfill the minimum standards for job experience, language competency, and education outside the country. Of all other immigration programs, the FSWP has had the most excellent acceptance rate, with over half of all invitations accepted in 2019-2020 belonging to the FSWC applicants.

Basic work experience

The applicant must have twelve months of full-time experience in a skilled occupation. Alternatively, the same amount of expertise is required part-time (optional). The time frame must not be more than three years at the time of your application. The experience must be in a single field recognized by the NOC (Skill Level 0, A, or B).

CLB language proficiency

You will need to demonstrate your command of either English or French by passing a standardized language exam. It would help if you got at least as high as the Canadian Language Benchmark for Level 7 to pass FSWC, but the higher your score, the greater your chances of passing.

Educational Qualification

It would help if you had the educational equivalent of a Canadian high school diploma. If you went to school outside of Canada, the government requires you to submit an Educational Credentials Assessment to prove that your degree is equivalent to one earned in Canada.

Other perquisites

Candidates for the FSW must have a total score of 67 or above on the FSW scale. However, it is not the same as the CRS score for EE acts. The aspects that make up the point distribution are – Language ability (28 points), Education (25), Work experience (15), Age (12), Arranged employment (10), and Adaptability (10). You need to prove that you can financially support yourself in Canada.

These are the essential perquisites of being eligible for the FSWP under the EE pool. Please be aware that just because you meet the requirements doesn’t mean you’ll be invited to make an official application for PR in Canada. Due to the fact that Express Entry is a merit-based selection method, only the best FSWC applicants will be contacted. All individuals with experience in a skilled field are welcome to apply to Canada’s FSWP. The term “skilled” can refer to hundreds of different types of work.
